The Artists’ Press is
celebrating 25 years of being South Africa’s leading print studio with a
Limited Edition Print Pop Up Shop this October.
Alongside prints from close to 50 artists that are currently available through this website (and studio), the Pop Up Shop will also feature new work from Sibonelo Chiliza, Anton Kannemeyer, Willem Boshoff (his new work just needs to be signed), Conrad Botes, Karin Daymond and Colbert Mashile, Walter Oltmann and Judith Mason. 25 Years of The Artists' Press - Limited Edition Print Pop Up Shop is the perfect way for new, emerging and established art lovers to add to their fine art collection through the stunning array of accessibly-priced prints that will be on offer.
25 Years of The
Artists' Press - Limited Edition Print Pop Up Shop will be held for one day
only on Saturday October 1st at Parktown High School for Girls. Parkview,
Johannesburg. Delicious refreshments, free art activities (for children and
adults), music by the Runaway Train Cult, and plenty of parking turns this into
an unmissable event on Joburg’s culture and shopping calendar.
We are busy working in our storeroom and are selecting prints for the Pop Up Shop, some of which have not been seen for many years. It is a bit like doing a treasure hunt going through the drawers. The Pop Up is a excellent way to see what we have been printing for the last 25 years, with all the work spread out one is able to meander and enjoy without the pressure of a museum or gallery environment.
the atelier (Fiona Pole and Didier Presse) from 44 Stanley Road will be on hand to take care of any framing requirements and offer advice on how to best display your work. Fiona is an artist and print maker, so she knows what she is talking about.
You can also email us on the address at the bottom of this page with any specific requests for work that you would like to see at the Pop Up to make sure that we pack it and bring it along.
